Homemade for the garage - ideas for fixtures for the manufacture

DIY homemade garage

A garage is not only a place where a car, motorcycle, bicycle is “repaired” and repaired. Often a full-fledged carpentry workshop unfolds here, many tools and large items for summer and winter holidays are stored. A variety of do-it-yourselfers for the garage with your own hands allow you to arrange it in accordance with the occupation of the owner, creating not only a work, storage area, but also a place of rest, friendly gatherings.

Features of the arrangement of the garage

The garage is usually not too large, but has some features that must be considered. Initially, it is desirable to create a project, or at least a detailed plan, and then make “marking on the ground” - mark on the floor, walls, where and what will be placed. When designing, the height, length, width of the room, a list of items that should fit here are indicated. “Push off” should be from the place where it is most convenient to park the car - nothing should interfere with its entry and exit.

The gates are also an important element, they are installed as tight as possible, to open some types of structures you will have to allocate additional space. The width of the aisles between all items in the garage is made sufficient for convenient movement.

What other elements are permissible to place in the garage space:

  • basement, viewing hole;
  • mobile overpass;
  • cabinets, racks, shelves for storing various things, tools, materials;
  • tables, workbenches;
  • hoist crane;
  • turning, drilling machine;
  • miniature sawmill;
  • stands for wheels, tires;
  • lighting devices, heaters;
  • water pipes;
  • compressor;
  • welding machine.

In recent years, garages have been very popular, on the roof or inside of which a full-fledged heated living room is equipped. To climb it you will need to make a ladder.

Shelves, cabinets, tool storage racks

Cabinets, shelves, racks are purchased ready-made, specially designed for the garage, or performed independently. The materials of manufacture are:

  • natural wood;
  • Chipboard;
  • MDF;
  • plywood;
  • metal;
  • plastic;
  • combinations of several materials.

These items are intended for:

  • maximum space saving;
  • lack of clutter;
  • convenient placement of things, tools;
  • giving the room a habitual appearance.

It is extremely undesirable to purchase finished shelves made of plastic - they are short-lived, not suitable for storing heavy items, tools, and quickly lose their appearance.

Homemade shelving

The most practical structures made of metal with wood. According to the method of assembly, racks are:

  • stationary - usually built-in, designed for a particular section of the room, attached to the ceiling, floor, wall, sometimes made angular, U-shaped;
  • mobile - equipped with wheels, if necessary, easily move to the right place;
  • suspended - mounted on a wall, ceiling;
  • disassembled - design racks, shelves in which they are rearranged, swapped;
  • rotating - suitable for many constantly used small items.

To make a good shelving, it is required to draw it on paper, indicating the planned dimensions, the distance between the shelves, methods of fastening. The metal structure is usually welded, from metal pipes, sheets, corner elements. Wooden - assembled from timber (10 by 10 cm or 5 by 10 cm) and boards, using self-tapping screws, perforated corners, etc. Most often, wooden shelves or objects made of chipboard are mounted on a metal frame, their approximate dimensions are 50 by 100 cm, thickness - 20-25 mm, the distance between the individual shelves - about 40 cm. The finished structure, depending on the material of manufacture, is varnished, coated with stain, painted in any color.

Production of hanging shelves

Shelves are hung on the walls, less often - on the ceiling, often performed in many tiers. Wall options are made closed, open, stationary or dismantled, with or without a back wall.Wooden shelves are mounted on a frame made of perforated steel, mounted on the wall with dowels, anchors. Ceiling hang by hooks mounted in the ceiling, special "studs", the structure comes out shaky, for storage of heavy items unsuitable.

Perforated Shelf

Products from perforated parts are usually made collapsible - profiles are mounted on the wall, screwed to it, then the shelves are fixed there. To make such a thing yourself, a perforated metal corner is purchased, the cutting of which is usually ordered at the place of purchase. Horizontal and vertical planks are interconnected by bolts, while from the horizontal a kind of frame is formed, into which boards, iron sheets are inserted, plastic containers are inserted.

Folding compact table

A small table, like some other pieces of furniture, is easy to make from improvised materials.

Required:

  • sidewall from a wooden cabinet or a piece of chipboard;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • a little timber;
  • two "used" loops;
  • perforated corners and mortise nuts from the cabinet;
  • anchor bolts.

How to make a stand for a drill

The drill stand consists of the following parts:

  • supporting frame - all other details are fixed on it;
  • rack - the guide part on which the drill is mounted moves up and down;
  • handles - control the movement of the drill;
  • additional nodes that expand the functionality of the product.

Typically, the product is assembled according to the drawings of metal parts. A support is attached to the horizontal stand, which is connected to a stand fixed by screws. The rails are mounted to the rack - they can be made of telescopic furniture elements.A carriage is attached to the movable part of the guides, there is a mount on it, where the drill is later fixed.

Do-it-yourself flyover

Flyover for a personal car is made of:

  • bricks;
  • wooden sleepers;
  • metal.

The latter option is ideal for enclosed spaces. To make the simplest flyover you need:

  • welding machine;
  • set of electrodes;
  • metal rolling;
  • fittings;
  • Bulgarian;
  • cutting wheels for grinders;
  • nuts, bolts;
  • paints for metal.

The design is made stationary or collapsible. First, a sketch with dimensions is drawn, the bases of the pedestals are assembled - the dimensions depend on the dimensions of the car. Parts are welded together at right angles. Next, the racks are performed: their approximate height is 50-60 cm, the angle is 120 degrees. The upper supports of the pedestals are welded to the racks, the base is attached, a “dead end” is made from the corner. Then the beams are welded from the reinforcement, ladder bridges are made. The latter, before fixing on the base, it is necessary to "fit" to the size of the machine.

Self-made compressor

An air compressor is a useful craft that can spray paint. For self-manufacturing, you will need an auto accessory used to pump the wheels. The compressor must be powerful - quickly create pressure up to six atmospheres, while not loading the engine, and also productive - release compressed air quickly, giving a strong flow.
To combine both performance and power, you need a high-speed engine equipped with a volumetric piston system. The device is able to overheat, which will inevitably lead to stops during operation, therefore it will be necessary to arrange sufficient cooling for the cylinders.
To reduce the cost of construction, a receiver is used - a storage tank, which is a steel cylinder.To make a small compressor, an electric motor is taken from a toy or a device that supplies water to an aquarium with fish.

Production of a hoist crane

The lift is used for machine maintenance in the event of a breakdown. Purchased will cost dearly, home-made is carried out with minimal labor.

Types of lifts:

  • screw;
  • chain;
  • hydraulic.

The way to raise the car is scissor, fork, platform. The last option is easiest to create. For work you will need:

  • steel plate from unnecessary equipment, one or two cm thick;
  • corners from steel - so that the structure comes out as stable as possible;
  • worm-type gearbox - usually it is removed from an inoperative design, since a new one is expensive;
  • set of bolts;
  • dowels in the form of stars;
  • fixing hook;
  • a metal chain with links with a diameter of two to three cm;
  • steel cable having a thickness of five mm.

The assembly sequence is as follows: first, the corners are fixed to the wall, an iron plate is mounted on them, the connection is made on bolts. After that the worm gearbox is mounted by fixing it on the drive shaft. In the plate, holes are made for the chain, a chain mechanism is installed. For safe use, holes are made in the frame, lock parts are inserted.

DIY workbench assembly

Workbench - a desktop on which manual processing of objects, parts from metals, wood, other materials is performed. The design is equipped with a vice, emphasis, several boxes for tools. Purchased workbenches have the following dimensions:

  • height - 80-90 cm (sometimes adjustable);
  • length - 130-150 cm (for one workplace);
  • width - 75-85 cm.

If desired, a convenient workbench designed for one or another work is done with your own hands. This will require:

  • Bulgarian;
  • metal circle;
  • grinding disc;
  • screwdriver;
  • apparatus for welding and electrodes;
  • protective clothing;
  • roulette, square, level;
  • electric jigsaw;
  • hammer drill;
  • corners of different sizes;
  • square pipes;
  • strips and sheets of steel;
  • boards and plywood;
  • guides;
  • screws, self-tapping screws, anchor bolts;
  • paints for metal, wood.

The approximate dimensions of such a workbench table are 220 by 75 cm, height - 90 cm. The material is cut in accordance with the drawings. The frame is welded from shaped metal pipes, has four legs, on which two cabinets will be placed, connected by a worktop and a foot bar. On top of the frame there are jumpers to support the countertops, on the sides of the pedestals - for drawers. The design is reinforced with diagonal jumpers in the corners.

Arrangement of a cellar, pit

To equip a viewing hole or a full-fledged cellar in a garage, they begin with earthwork, usually done manually. The bottom is carefully compacted, a sand cushion is put, waterproofing, the floor is made of clay or concrete. The walls are made of brick, gas blocks, reinforced concrete.

Overlapping a spacious cellar must be made as durable as possible, especially if the machine is large, heavy. The best option is a reinforced concrete slab. When the cellar is a little larger than the viewing hole, it is covered with thick boards, the hatch is made of them. The staircase down is made monolithic or welded. The cellar must be provided with ventilation and waterproofing.

Accessories for storing tires, wheels

Tires and wheels are very bulky items that need to be stored as compactly as possible. For this, shelves or brackets are used, consisting of two metal frames-triangles with jumpers.These triangular parts must be fixed to the wall. The wheels are stacked perpendicular to the bottom of the shelf. Falling slightly between the jumpers, not falling out, due to the large weight.

Garage Heating Device

Stationary heating is carried out in various ways:

  • gas;
  • by air;
  • electricity;
  • stove;
  • water;
  • solid fuel;
  • with used oil.

Homemade heater is made using:

  • a set for assembling a heater;
  • wires with a plug;
  • graphite powder;
  • laminated plastic;
  • epoxy glue.

A mixture of powder and glue is made, the rough side of the sheets is covered with this mixture, after which the parts are fastened, fixed on a wooden frame. Terminals are mounted to graphite conductors, after which the structure is carefully dried. Next, you need to check the resistance, to check the operability of the device using a multimeter.

To prevent the heat from building “leaving” too quickly, the garage doors, walls, basement are also insulated.

Lighting

Adequate lighting is required for any work carried out in the garage. It is produced using halogen, LED, fluorescent lamps, which are necessarily decorated with shades. In the garage, it is necessary to put a stabilizer in case of sudden power surges. In addition to ceiling structures, lamps are mounted on the busbar above the workstation, allowing them to be moved to the right place, and rotary structures are also convenient. The brightness of the light flux is selected, depending on the ongoing activities. Lighting is also needed in the basement.

Recommendations, tips for zoning the space in the garage

When planning, designing the garage space, it should be borne in mind that the driveway of the garage is done with a slope outward so that water does not accumulate near the gate. If any work with pesticides, a welding machine, a woodworking machine is planned inside, the garage will be equipped with hoods,since simple perfumes are not enough. The distribution panel, from which the wires go into the room, is inside or outside, it must be protected from moisture.

The division of the garage space looks something like this:

  • passage places - that part which should always be free, as it is intended for movement inside the room. The maximum that is allowed to put here is a hanger with everyday things (shoes, work clothes, keys and other things);
  • quick access space - storage areas for small items, access to which is often required. They store seals, canned food, animal feed, a small supply of cereals, etc .;
  • essentials - are used constantly, because they are placed near the entrance. Such things include a broom with a scoop, a shovel for cleaning snow, etc .;
  • area for bulky and rarely used items. The easiest way to equip it under the ceiling, on the mezzanine. It stores an artificial Christmas tree, decorations for it, skis, a tent, a folding barbecue, a set of fishing rods and much more. The more often one or another item is used, the more accessible it should be;
  • the place for tall, narrow objects is mainly garden tools, cleaning items: brooms, hoes, forks, rakes, choppers with long handles, mops, etc. All this is easy to place on a narrow corner shelving near the entrance, from where it is easy to get and put in place;
  • work area - it contains tools and equipment for hobbies and creativity: car repair, assembly-disassembly of electrical appliances, wood carvings, gardening, etc .;
  • place of rest - it will be equipped if there is free space left. They place a comfortable sofa, a table with chairs or folding stools, if necessary - a minibar, microwave, small refrigerator.

Conclusion

A garage, if it is not very cramped, not only allows you to freely place the car, but also equip a recreation area, the place of work of the master of almost any specialty. Arranging such a space is not difficult if there are high-quality materials, trouble-free tools, as well as an interesting idea, an idea of the appearance, filling the premises after conversion.
