The main processing methods

The prestige and richness of the wooden interior decoration is largely ensured by the high-quality surface treatment of natural material. To give an elegant look to any element of the decor, the following technologies are used:

  1. The simplest and most practical option is to cover with a protective varnish. This processing method allows you to leave invariable the texture of wood material, as well as its natural shade;
  2. The so-called “Luxe” finish provides for sequential grinding and varnishing of the wooden surface. Thanks to many repetitions, it becomes perfectly smooth. To achieve such a magical tactile effect, you must choose hardwood;
  3. Artificial aging material.To age the wood, it must be brushed (removal of soft fibers from the surface), and then treated with a protective varnish;
  4. Gilding. To give the decor a truly aristocratic look, the material is sometimes coated with an expensive gold component. It can be either artificial potal or natural gold leaf. Noble silver is also sometimes used, which gives regal gray hair to the wooden interior;
  5. Tinted. In addition to protective varnishes, this procedure provides for the use of tinting compounds for processing the array;
  6. Wooden interior decoration can take a different texture, if you use special effect varnishes (enamels);
  7. Often, decorative wall decoration with wood involves coating the surface with special oils. To guarantee an environmentally friendly interior, it is necessary to trace the natural origin of the same wax.

Interior decoration

The most popular design option using wood is the classic style. Restrained, laconic interior is achieved through the use of wooden panels with decorative elements. The latter should be quite a bit, only as an accent. Since the main emphasis should be on the texture of the tree itself. The naturalness of the finish comes first. Carvings and various moldings are more likely in steampunk or pompous baroque style.

The fusion of tiles and wood floor

However, not only wall decoration helps to equip a cozy room. Comfort can also provide flooring. If in the classical style it is mainly natural parquet, then in many other styles it is enough to do with a quality laminate. The first requires a significant investment, and the second is characterized by more practical properties.

Furniture

The natural shade and the degree of wood processing will also be important for decoration. The classic style welcomes the dark tones of the valuable breeds of these mighty plants, which should be a contrast to the pastel walls. Provence, on the contrary, tends to use light, whitened or artificially aged products that are harmoniously combined with snow-white or cream walls. Country style allows the use of red trees.

Small products are ways to create a cozy atmosphere and emphasize the owner’s unique taste. Such may be the usual frames for photographs or paintings, unusual trophies, wooden vases, etc. Wooden utensils will look very interesting in the interior.

The main thing in emphasis is not to overdo it with their application.
